Booking Q1 2027 Software company
Sutra designs, builds, and secures the systems a company runs on: customer products, internal platforms, and the controls around them. One team carries the work from a written scope to a release your people can operate.
A defined scope, working software on a set cadence, and a named owner on every release.

01 — Services
Six practices, each with a defined scope. Security is included in a build, and it is also available as its own engagement. Choose the service that matches the job.
01
Web and mobile products taken from a written brief to a release your team can own.
02
The tools people open every day: queues, approvals, records, and the APIs between them.
03
Assistants and automated workflows grounded in your own data, with a person in the loop where a wrong answer is costly.
04
Replace a legacy portal or a stack of scripts without a rewrite for its own sake. We keep what works and retire what does not.
05
Review and hardening for software that will hold customer or company data, including systems you already run.
06
Connect the systems you already pay for, so the same fact is not typed into three places.
02 — Industries
The engineering is the same. The operating context changes. These are the sectors Sutra is set up to serve. Published client work will replace this list as releases ship.
01
Reconciliation, payment exceptions, and the desks a finance team uses to close the books with a record of every change.
02
Orders, catalogs, and the operational systems behind a sales channel, including the handoff to fulfillment.
03
Stock, supply, and the tools a sales or distribution team uses between the field and the office.
04
Jobs, photos, and signatures for people who work away from a desk, including when the network drops.
05
Client delivery, approvals, and the internal systems a firm depends on to run the work.
06
Products that will hold customer or company information, where access, logging, and a security review are part of the release.
03 — Work
Examples of the portfolio in practice. These are briefs the company is set up to take, not a borrowed client list. Replace them with your own releases as they ship.
A reconciliation desk for a finance team that was closing the books in a stack of spreadsheets. One queue, one owner, a record of every change.
Discuss this brief
An offline-first tool for technicians who lose signal between sites. Jobs, photos, and signatures sync when the network comes back. Nothing is typed twice.
Discuss this brief
An internal assistant that answers from the company’s own documents and shows the source. Permissions, an audit trail, and a person in the loop before anything reaches a customer.
Discuss this brief
A security pass on a product about to hold customer data. Who can see what, where secrets live, what gets logged, and the fixes shipped in the same release.

04 — Approach
Four stages, with a written decision at each one. You see the software while it is being built. There is no phase where the work disappears.
We write the job in a page: who it is for, what must not fail, and what is out of scope.
Interface and architecture are decided together. You review a flow someone can use, not a diagram of intentions.
Releases go into a real environment on a weekly cadence. Quality, access, and empty states are part of the build.
Your team operates it. Code, decisions, and operating notes move with the product. We stay for the first weeks in production.
The name
A sutra is a thread. One line you can hold, so the rest of the work does not come apart.
That is the standard we hold a project to. One job for the product. A clear path through the system. Nothing shipped that the work does not need.
05 — Engagements
Choose the commercial shape that matches the work. Scope and price are agreed in writing before anyone starts building.
Most teams
A defined release from the portfolio. Usually two to four months, from a new brief or a roadmap that has stalled.
Ongoing
A senior team inside your company for ongoing delivery. You keep the roadmap. We keep the standard of the work.
Two weeks
For leaders who need the decisions made before a longer build or a larger hire.
06 — Contact
A short brief is enough. We reply within two working days and say clearly whether we are the right company for the work.
